Crispy Green Beans

These green beans are super quick to make and have a great crunch to them! 

1 package French green beans or Haricot Verts (Trader Joe’s has a great one)

2-3 garlic cloves minced

1 shallot chopped finely

1 jalapeno chopped (optional)

½ lemon

Cilantro for garnish (optional)

 

  • Sautee garlic, shallot, and jalapeno in a nonstick pan with extra virgin olive oil.
  • Once shallots have a translucent color, add in the green beans.
  • Continue to sautee. Add in desired salt and pepper for taste.
  • After 5 minutes, add in your spices and be creative. Great options are cumin powder, harissa, no salt seasoning, turmeric, cayenne pepper, onion salt.  Don’t be afraid to add in more spices!
  • Squeeze ½ lemon once completed and garnish with cilantro
